From a family related to Cyrano de Bergerac, Antoine de Corbiac, who has joined his mother Thérèse on the estate, represents the seventeenth generation on the domaine. This very old vineyard of 16.5 ha, ideally perched on the crest of the Pécharmant hillside, is a sure bet in the Bergerac region. A trading structure has also been set up to market the estate’s wines and those of the Cyrano de Bergerac range.
Voted “Coup de Coeur” in the previous vintage, this cuvée repeats the feat. The deep color is a good omen, as is the complex and open nose, a happy marriage of forest fruits and toasty notes from aging. The mouth, in harmony with the nose, impresses with its amplitude, structure, balance between roundness and freshness, and length. Its density is matched by a smoothness that gives this bottle a profile that is both solid and amiable.
