Tasting notes:
Already elected as the favorite of the Guide Hachette de Vins in the 2008 vintage, this magnificent Pécharmant comes from a 16.5-hectare vineyard planted on the south-facing slope of a hill. An ideal location favoring the over-ripeness of the Merlot, which represents 60% of the blend here, alongside the two Cabernets and Malbec. Aged for one year in oak barrels and vats, this 2010 vintage appears in a deep red color before revealing an open and warm bouquet intimately mingling fruit and woody notes. The palate impresses with its volume and substance, supported by powerful yet already melted tannins, allowing the fruit to express itself. Although ready to delight the taste buds now, this wine will also benefit from aging for a few more years. (from Guide Hachette des Vins 2013, page 952)
